Boston Condos for Sale and Apartments for Rent Home sales on the rebound Sales of new single-family homes unexpectedly jumped in October, shrugging off rising mortgage rates and fears of a recession. New home sales rose 7.5% according to the Consumer Department. The median new home in US is $499,000 a 15.4% increase.
